Project Partners: Olde Towne East Neighborhood Association
Award Amount: $20,600 With a goal of providing amenities and garden plots to the neighborhood, as well as signs of vitality, the Olde Towne East Neighborhood Association is proposing site enhancements for the Olde Towne East Pocket Park. While some enhancements have been made to the site over the past year, additional enhancements such as decorative fencing and plantings, to the site will create opportunities for community farmer’s markets, community gatherings and food access. In addition to enhancing the lot, the proposal looks to utilize an adjacent City-owned parking lot for food trucks that would not only give the community access to food and vending options but would also provide access for nearby businesses and provide the community with an asset for years to come. |
